Below is the step by step process for how I make my biscuits and gravy casserole. This is a warm and comforting breakfast casserole that everyone will love. I served it to my 6 year old daughter and she said “wow” and proceeded to eat her whole plate of food (if you know my daughter she doesn’t do that often). The step by step guide comes with photos for each step of the way or you can click “Jump to Recipe” above and get straight to all the details. Thank you for taking the time to look at and try my recipe. Enjoy everyone!
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.
- Cut biscuits into quarters and place in a single layer on the bottom of a 9×13 inch casserole.

3. Mix together 6 eggs, 1/2 cup milk, salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

4. Heat a pan over medium high heat. Brown and break up sausage until no longer pink (do not drain).

5.Melt 1 Tbsp butter with the cooked sausage.
6.Add 1/4 cup all purpose flour to sausage, mix and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

7.Turn heat down to low and slowly add in 2 1/2 cups milk while stirring. (Do not add the milk to fast or at a higher temperature or it will curdle.)

8. Once the milk has been added raise the heat to medium low and let simmer come up to a simmer. Let simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes or until desired thickness is achieved. (If too thick you can add more milk) Then remove from heat and set aside.

9. Take the egg mixture you set aside and pour on top of the biscuits. Then top with 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese.

10.Take the gravy you have set aside and pour on top of the cheese.

11.Plce baking dish in oven for 35-40 minutes or until biscuits are browned and eggs are fully set in the middle.
12.Remove baking dish from oven and let cool for 5-10 minutes.

13. Serve and Enjoy!
