Deliciously Simple Stuffed Breakfast Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. In a pan over medium heat cook 1 pound ground breakfast sausage breaking up until no longer pink, set aside in a medium bowl.
  3. In a seperate bowl combine 4 eggs, 1/4 cup milk, salt and pepper (to taste). Mix until everything is well combined.
  4. Cook eggs in the same pan over medium low heat. Stir eggs until fully cooked. Add to the bowl with the cooked sausage, set aside.
  5. Dice up 5 ounces of mushrooms and cook in the same pan over medium heat for around 5 minutes. Add cooked mushrooms to your bowl with sausage and eggs.
  6. Mix everything together until fully combined.
  7. Open two cans of jumbo biscuits (8 count) and cut each biscuit in half. Flatten the bottom of each biscuit.
  8. Add a small scoop to the bottom biscuit and add one monterey jack cheese cube.

9. Take the top half of the biscuit and flatten it out. Stretch it over the filling and pinch together the sides of the dough so everything is sealed.

11. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until tops are golden brown.

12. Heat 2 Tbsps butter and add 2-3 garlic cloves, minced. Brush the top of each biscuit with the garlic butter.

13. Let cool and serve. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2- 8 count cans of biscuits

  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage

  • 4 eggs

  • 1/4 cup milk

  • 5 ounces diced mushrooms

  • Cubed monterey jack cheese or shredded cheese

  • salt and pepper

  • 2 Tbsps butter

  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Heat a pan over medium heat, add ground sausage and cook breaking up until no longer pink. Add to a bowl and set aside.
  • Cook your mushrooms in the same pan for 4-5 minutes, add to the same bowl the sausage is in.
  • In another bowl crack your eggs and add your milk, season with salt and pepper to taste. Lower the heat on your pan to medium low.
  • Add your eggs to the pan and cook stirring around until everything is cooked through and scrambled. Add eggs to the bowl with sausage and mushrooms, mix well.
  • Cut your biscuit in half and flatten, place some of the filling on one half of the biscuit, add one cube of cheese on top.
  • Take the other half of the biscuit and flatten it out placing it over the filling. Then seal the biscuit by pinching together the dough all the way around.
  • Bake in the oven for 18-22 minutes. or until tops are golden brown.
  • Melt your butter and add in your garlic. Once the biscuits are done baking remove from oven and brush on your garlic butter.
  • Let biscuits cool, and serve. Enjoy!
